Nepali Products in Slovenian New year Charity Expo.
 

Ljubljana,Slovenia, Nepali products have been presented in a traditional New Year's Charity exposition in Ljubljana on 4 December. Handicrafts, garments, Pashmina Sauls, Khukuri, Nepali teas, silver jewelry and Nepali classical music albums were of particular interest to Slovenian people.

Mrs. Olga Shrestha, wife of Mr. Aswin Kumar Shrestha, Honorary Royal Nepalese Consul in Slovenia , has presented Nepal in the exposition and succeeded to collect the highest amount among the 31 participating countries. "It was an excellent opportunity to promote Nepal and Nepalese products in Slovenia ," she said, in the interview with the Slovenian National Television.  

Considered very successful by the visit of more than 20,000 people, this exposition was organized by Slovenian International Ladies Association (SILA) to help raise money for the blind and myopic people of the country.

NEPAL EXPO. 2004

In order to promote bilateral trade between France and Nepal , the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nepal-France, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris are jointly organizing an exposition "NEPAL EXPO 2004". It will begin on the 4 th of November until the 7 th at Rotonde de la Bourse du Commerce of Paris .

Mr. Ishwar POKHREL, Minister for Trade and Industry, will be present to inaugurate the exposition. He will be accompanied by Mr. Niranjan Man Singh BASNAYT, Chargé d’Affaires at the Royal Nepalese Embassy in Paris, and Mr. Shyam Mohan SHRESTHA, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nepal-France. Various other personalities are being awaited at the exposition, amongst them the representatives of the Nepalese community in France as well as reputed craftsmen.

Around fifty exhibitors from the traditional handicraft industry and the jewellery will take part in the exhibition. A broad line of Nepalese goods will be presented which include handmade woolen carpets, cashmere clothing, silver jewellery, and thankas, which are pictorial representations of the both Hindu and Buddhist cultures.
